When Geneva isn’t singing coloratura or writing songs, the mezzo soprano runs a full-time teaching studio, somewhat unoriginally named “Geneva’s Studio.” Geneva’s Studio plays host to over 35 talented and driven voice students.

Geneva has had students perform with Rainbow Stage as well as successfully audition for prestigious programs such as the University of Manitoba Faculty of Music and the Randolf Academy of Performing Arts in Toronto. Geneva has a collection of students successfully audition and perform with Manitoba Theatre for Young People’s Teen Performance Ensemble. This year Geneva has had students perform with Manitoba Opera Children’s Chorus and compete in the Winnipeg Music Festival Rose Bowl, Provincial Music Festival, and Rainbow Stage Trophy.  They also had a student win runner up for the Winnipeg Music Festival W.H. Anderson Memorial Trophy.

As a teacher, Geneva teaches both classical and musical theatre and is fully capable of accompanying students on the piano during lessons.

Geneva also specializes in vocal recovery, maintenance, and health. They are keenly aware of the technique and knowledge needed to complete a run of a show without vocal fatigue. One must maintain good vocal health and stamina. Geneva is thrilled to provide on-site vocal coachings during production rehearsals for both musical theatre and opera. Maintaining good vocal health is vital to having a long and happy performance career!
